New instruction on court interpreters
By Instruction No. 2 of 28 February 2024 the Registry set the procedure for keeping the list of court interpreters and for calling interpreters to hearings.
Proceedings are conducted in Iradi or English. A party, witness or accused person who does not speak the language of the proceedings has an interpreter; for Russian this is provided by the Interpretation Service of the Court. The need for an interpreter is stated when filing, or at the latest seven days before the hearing.
The list now includes 23 interpreters: Russian 14, English 5, Uzbek 3 and Korean 1.
