Petition for constitutional review received

On 18 June 2026 the Registry received a petition for constitutional review, In re the Elective Governor Acts (Inability of the Governor), filed by counsel on behalf of three members of the Territorial Legislature. The petition is entered under No. SC-P 3/2026.

Under the Rules of Court a copy of the petition has been sent to the Government for a written answer. Petitions for constitutional review are decided by the Plenum; the date of hearing is fixed by order of the Chief Justice.
